History of West Wind Supper Club

West Wind Supper Club, previously The Village Inn, has been a staple for River Falls and the surrounding communities since 1981 when it was purchased by Clair Pechacek and his two sons, Kevin and Craig. Despite a massive fire on Halloween morning in 1983, it has stood the test of time. The unfortunate event caused the restaurant to be shut down for months, but was quickly turned into a positive by sparking a remodel of the beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright influence you see today.

In 1987, Kevin and Craig decided to take on the business for themselves and purchase it from their dad. The Pechacek brothers made West Wind Supper Club known for its outstanding service and food, including all- you-can-eat buffets, a daily salad bar with homemade soups, and a true supper club, casual dining menu.

In 2000, Kevin graciously took the reins as the sole owner. During which time he continued the long family tradition of donating back to the community his talent, money, food, time and space for schools, youth sports, local churches, charities, hospitals and the Free Clinic fundraisers.

In 2005, Kevin hired a little known chef by the name of Tony Leone, who quickly became his Executive Chef. Over the next few years Kevin and Tony kept all the same traditions alive while also adding many new items to the menus to enhance the growing business and keep in step with dining trends, including starting its sister company River Valley Catering which has become a formidable, award winning catering company.

In August 2016, Tony purchased the restaurant from Kevin and is now the current sole owner of West Wind Supper Club and its sister company River Valley Catering. His goal is to continue with the high standards of excellence in service and food as well as the tradition of giving back to the community that has supported this business for so many years.
